NAHB Research Center National Green Building Certification Program

Welcome to the Verifier Resource Center for the NAHB Research Center’s National Green Building Certification. Verifiers accredited by the Research Center are expected to independently confirm, through a process of document review and on-site inspections, that all green certification requirements and points specified by a builder are in place for a candidate home or subdivision.

If you are already an accredited verifier, this site provides continuing education materials and other resources to help streamline the verification process. This site will also allow you to stay current on your annual listing payments.

If you are interested in becoming an accredited verifier, this site is your starting point on that professional journey. You must first meet the program’s eligibility prerequisites. If you meet these training and experience requirements, you must pay the $125 non-refundable training and application fee – when you become accredited, this fee will be applied toward your first year’s listing on www.NAHBGreen.org. Once your training is complete and you’ve passed the initial exam, you will be required to submit the other required documentation and proof of applicable insurance to the NAHB Research Center to become a listed, accredited verifier.
